'The Boys', Amazon Prime's all-new show is based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The show was created by Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen and was announced initially in 2016 when Cinemax was adapting it into a show. However, in 2017, Amazon gave the production a series order of an 8-episode first season. The creative team was still intact, however, in April 2018, it was announced that Goldberg and Rogen would no longer direct the show due to a scheduling conflict, it would instead be taken over by Dan Trachtenberg.
The show will air July 26 on Amazon Prime Video.

The trailer of the show features the Vought's Seven, just not in their glory days. Each of the seven heroes in the modern day has their own journey and the action takes place in different settings depending on each hero who are all corrupt. What would happen if Superheroes became commercial and were ruled by a corporate CEO? That's exactly what happens here following which five individuals will come together to take the seven corrupt superheroes down. From thugs to a hitman, this superhero show will have it all.
