Contains spoilers for 'The Book of Boba Fett' Episode 2 'The Tribes of Tatooine'
'The Book of Boba Fett' ensures that it fleshes out the culture of the Tusken Raiders in the second episode. The Disney+ series shows the customs and the relationship of Boba (Temuera Morrison) with the Raiders, who were first seen in 'The Mandalorian' Season 2. Running close to an hour, the episode follows Boba as he earns the faith of the Raiders who eventually consider him as their own. The Raiders, also known as Sand People or simply as Tuskens, were shown as nomadic sentients indigenous to the desert planet Tatooine.
The episode also alternates between two timelines, the present sees Boba taking on the Hutt twins who, despite their introduction leave pretty abruptly. But this will surely be explored in the episodes to come. The episode titled 'The Tribes of Tatooine' has fans floored as they learn more about the Tuskens. "#TheBookofBobaFett episode 2 is the best so far of the show. Yes, it is heavy on flashbacks, but we also get to know more about the Tuskins, their culture and customs. Plus, who doesn’t like a good, old fashioned train heist," read one of the comments.
"New episode of #TheBookOfBobaFett was so freaking sick dude… why aren’t more people watching this?!" another tweet read. "This week's episode of #TheBookofBobaFett had it all. Not sure if it could have been any better! 10/10" another fan opined. "Love the story with the Tuskens so damn much. Boba living with this Tribe just feels so right for this character. And the action scenes were so damn thrilling and awesome. Loved the connections to other SW content! #TheBookOfBobaFett," a tweet read.
"I really like how #thebookofbobafett really humanizes the tusken raiders, showing that they're just a tribe of people with their own culture struggling to survive in a world full of technological machines, and not barbaric monsters like they're usually portrayed," a fan remarked. "Y’all I dont really know what #TheBookOfBobaFett is entirely supposed to be about, but I’m actually enjoying it way more than I thought I would. And I’m loving the backstory and the cool lore they are giving us about the Tusken Raiders," another exclaimed.
Some felt that the backstory was indeed a necessity. "#TheBookOfBobaFett is a lot more interesting during the "flashback" segments. I just can't get into this crime syndicate story. However, I love seeing Boba, post Sarlacc, learning from the Tuskens. It's almost like the show should have been just that..." a fan wrote.
