The concerns surrounding Harold Cooper's (Harry Lennox) fate on 'The Blacklist' has grown considerably since the drive in his possession has incriminating evidence against Raymond Red Reddington (James Spader). When will 'The Blacklist' Season 8 Episode 12 air?
Arriving in just a short week's time on next Friday, 'The Blacklist' Season 8 returns with Episode 12 on April 2. Titled 'Rakitin', the episode will see "The Task Force's determination to identify a Russian asset in the US government puts Cooper and Reddington in increasingly treacherous positions." Fans will be thrilled to know that the show is not going on any random breaks, unlike last week where the show aired a repeat telecast of an older episode instead of the upcoming Episode 11.
Spoilers for 'Captain Kidd'
According to the synopsis of the episode airing tonight, March 26, "The Task Force attempts to stop an abduction by searching for a "treasure man" who uses geocaching to hide illicit goods and facilitate transactions between otherwise warring criminal factions." But differing from the action with external enemies, there's also tension between Cooper and Red, as photos teased of the episode show Red at the post office.
Conflict is expected to arise there but will it be surrounding Cooper? We know the drive with Cooper gives him an upper hand in knowing what secrets Red has been hiding, but before Red can take Cooper out of the equation, will time be a factor in taking him down?
Cooper has done all he can to obtain the maximum information possible from the drive — or is expected to at least, given his FBI boss mindset. What if before even Red can at least try to reason with him or work out some sort of a deal, Cooper incriminates the dying man? It's possible that he is now on team Liz, curious to take Red down before he can target his mentee; it would be easier that way with Liz gone rogue now.
Cooper's plans might not be so sinister after all, but he knows Red is up to something, with a possible alias. How Cooper will expose that or how Red stops that from happening is what's going to keep us hooked in the next few weeks.
'The Blacklist' Season 8 airs on Fridays at 8 pm only on NBC.
