The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 2: Will the Special Task Force save Red before Katarina drains him out?

The last we saw of Red, his blood was being drained out, and he was being questioned by Katarina, and according to her, she will learn exactly what she wants to learn by the end of it all

'The Blacklist' returned with Season 7 on Friday night and we finally found out what exactly happened to Red (James Spader) — well, sort of — and we know why Katarina (Lotte Verbeek) drugged and kidnapped him — umm, kinda — and now everyone at the Task Force knows the real identity of Red — I mean, does anyone really know Red's real identity? The point is that 'The Blacklist' did what it does best, answered a few questions to reel us in, and left us with a lot more.

Red is being held hostage by Katarina, and she has employed many people to keep him in her custody, and she did such a good job that even the Task Force, for the longest time, assumed that the Frech police are behind Red's misfortune. Over the course of the episode, we saw how Red, despite finding himself paralyzed in a strange and foreign place, kept his wits about him and learned some truths. He even managed to escape, and yet, unfortunately, Katarina knows who she is dealing with, and tracked him down in no time.

The last we saw of Red, his blood was being drained out, and he was being questioned by Katarina, and according to her, she will learn exactly what she wants to learn by the end of it all. Thankfully, the FBI has caught up with what is going on — at least to an extent. Liz (Megan Boone) managed to piece together that the Russian woman who orchestrated Red's abduction is her own mother, and honestly, after learning as much as she has about her past over the last few seasons, it seems like nothing can faze her anymore.

That aside, Liz and the rest of her colleagues are going to do everything in their power to get Red back, but the only question is will they be too late? We will learn when the NBC show returns with Season 7 Episode 2 titled 'Louis T. Steinhil: Conclusion' on Friday, October 11.
