At a tender age of 23, Micah Collum found himself on ‘The Biggest Loser’ weighing a whopping 326 pounds and still struggling to heal from the impact his mother’s substance-abuse issue had on him. Needless to say, this young lad from Alabama had some serious low self-esteem and self-confidence issues. Even on the show, we see him often expressing how he doesn’t feel “important” and confident enough about himself.

Thankfully for Micah, his trainer Steve Cook doesn’t share the same thoughts about him. Steve sees great potential in him and constantly encourages him to push himself and see what a strong person he is. Micah’s team has consistently performed well in team challenges and he has always been at the forefront with his brilliant performance in the challenges. In the pilot episode, Micah was the first contestant to complete the run a mile challenge; in the previous episode, he managed to flip the tires from mud pit all by himself with no help. He was no different on the latest episode either, where he had to carry a huge pile of firewood up a staircase to help his team win the challenge for 4 pounds advantage during the final weigh-in.

Micah carried the heavy pile of wood with such ease and so confidently that everybody was left in awe. His competitor Domenico from the red team called him a “beast” after watching his brilliant performance and kept saying that he can’t compete with Micah. The 23-year-old’s impressive performance not only ensured that his team won, but also won him several fans.

After watching his determination and strength, fans began rooting for him. A fan tweeted, “Dudes Micah is a beast in these challenges. I’d take him on my team any day of the week. #BiggestLoser.” Another fan wrote, “Love this show. Rooting for Micah #BiggestLoser.” “Ok. This week Micah is definitely my favorite this week. #BiggestLoser,” shared a fan. “Yo, Micah showed he was a beast last week!!! He still killing it. #BiggestLoser,” commented an impressed fan.

You can catch new episodes of the reboot version of ‘The Biggest Loser’ every Tuesday, at 9/8 c only on USA Network.
