CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: 'The Bear' returned with its Season 3 premiere on Thursday, June 27, 2024, featuring the original cast. The Original Beef of Chicagoland is now a fine-dine restaurant run by Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White).

Not only has he transformed the humble sandwich shop, but Carmy Berzatto has also brought order and discipline to the once-chaotic kitchen.

While this season majorly focuses on Carmy and Sydney Adamu’s (Ayo Edebiri) struggle to remain afloat in the post-pandemic era, Episode 6 treats viewers to a heartwarming flashback.

In Season 3, Episode 6, viewers are transported back to the year 2018, when Tina Marerro (Liza Colón-Zayas) held a desk job at Long Grove Confectionary. After working there for 15 years, she lost her job one day due to a cost-cutting measure.

At 46 years old, Tina found herself grappling with challenges she couldn't avoid. A rent increase and her husband's delayed promotion pushed her into a desperate search for another job in a world where she felt increasingly obsolete.

During her job hunt, Tina found herself at The Original Beef of Chicagoland for a cup of coffee. In a quiet corner of the bustling sandwich shop, she finally broke down.

When Michael noticed her and struck up a conversation, things began to look up. Tina, in need of employment, found a potential opportunity as Michael Berzatto (Jon Bernthal) was seeking additional help.

It was nothing but a coincidence that Tina ended up visiting the shop that day. It not only solved her money problems for the moment but also gave a new turn to her career.

From starting as a new line cook under Michael, she has come a long way now. As seen previously on the show, she was sent to culinary school to further enhance her skills and was promoted to Sydney's sous chef.

The heart-warming sneak-peak into Tina's life before The Original Beef helps us to further resonate with her character, offering us a new and more refined perception of her.

'The Bear' Season 3 is available to stream on Hulu and Disney+.
