‘The Bachelorette' 2022: Hayden and Jacob slammed for rejecting Gabby, fans say she 'deserves better'
Gabby Windey went through a lot of emotional upheavals in ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 19's July 25 episode as both Hayden and Jacob, with whom she initially had a strong connection, ended up rejecting her.
The episode was a mix of emotional backstory of Gabby, who felt emotionally vulnerable and having self-doubts. This part made ardent ‘Bachelorette’ fans upset. In the episode, we saw the guys have a conversation in the house at night about who they all want to pursue. While the majority opened up on their liking for Rachel and some genuinely had feelings for Gabby, Hayden and Jacob revealed that they both aren’t feeling a strong connection with Gabby and have genuinely started liking Rachel.

Both Hayden and Jacob went over to Gabby and shared that they both don’t feel a connection with her and would love to pursue Rachel instead. Even though it didn’t show on her face at that moment, Gabby was seen upset after they left. She got rejected twice by the contestants who made a mistake of thinking that they call the shots when it is clearly about both Gabby and Rachel finding the love of their lives.
Later, Gabby and Rachel had a long conversation with each other. Gabby revealed that Jacob called her ‘goofy’, while Hayden said she is really ‘rough around the edges.’ Hearing this, Rachel felt furious and wanted to teach them a lesson. But Gabby said there’s no need as she isn’t here to teach them how to act maturely.
After watching Gabby getting rejected, fans slammed both Hayden and Jacob. “The fact that I heard someone call Gabby goofy made me pause. Disrespectful. #TheBachelorettes,” a fan noted. “Hayden seems like the guy who calls having a Diet Coke after 7pm “rough around the edges” so Gabby shouldn’t be to bummed she missed out on that lifestyle,” said a fan. “Me after Rachel got rejected not once, but two times in a row! #TheBachelorette #TheBachelorettes,” said a fan. “#TheBachelorettes wow, these men are #Jacob saying “I have two switches on and more on” yes, you’re definitely a MORON bro. yikes, these poor women deserve better #TheBachelorette,” said another fan. “Hayden telling Gabby that Rachel's values align more with his and that Gabby is rough around the edges just lost so much good will I had towards that man. #TheBachelorette #thebachelorettes,” shared another fan. “I dare someone to call me “rough around the edges” to my face and live to tell the tale #TheBachelorette,” shared another fan.
