'The Bachelorette': Dale opens his heart to Clare, but fans call him 'fake and weird' and don’t trust him

Dale and Clare immediately hit it off on the show but fans did not like Dale one bit and many said that he made them feel uncomfortable too

The second episode (October 20) of ‘The Bachelorette’ begins with Clare Crawley singing praises of Dale Moss. In the previous episode, she took the viewers by surprise when she expressed that she "may have met" her future husband on meeting Dale for the first time. Needless to say, one could tell how spark flew between Clare and Dale almost immediately, unlike her encounter with the rest of the suitors. 

In tonight’s episode, when the first task is presented to the eligible bachelors, Clare admits she specifically picked Dale and was looking forward to spending time with him on the first group date, where they were required to speak to Clare’s heart with words of affirmation. When it was Dale’s turn, he says she made him feel committed and he’s willing to commit every bit of him to her. And Clare couldn’t have been more mesmerized by the words of her “future husband”. 

Clare and Dale’s newfound love or affection for each other didn’t stop at just that. In the following round, called ‘touch test', Clare had to feel her suitors up with both the parties blindfolded and determine who is who while she embraced their touch. 

When it was Dale’s turn to touch Clare, it was evident from the facial expressions of the rest of the men in the room that Clare and Dale got shockingly cozy with each other, which also made the rest jealous. While Dale continued to explain how hard he found it to “hold back” and how much he admires Clare, fans have expressed a rather different opinion on Twitter. 

One tweeted, "I don't trust Dale. Something about him is rubbing me. I can't put my finger to it. #bachelorette." Another added, "All my homies hate Dale #bachelorette." One wrote, "Honestly I think Dale is fake.... hopefully he proves me wrong but atm I’m not a fan.... #bachelorette #BachelorNation #TheBachelorette." Meanwhile one noted, "This is so weird. Dale's little speech was weird. This is just weird. #TheBachelorette." One wrote, "I’m uncomfy. Dale please sit down. #TheBachelorette."

A few fans are also annoyed with Dale for stealing Clare away from them at every given chance. Noting the same one tweeted, "That guy asked before Dale did, not cool that Dale cut in... #TheBachelorette". Another added, "wait that guy wanted to talk to her first then dale snatched her up #thebachelorette."

‘The Bachelorette’ airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
