SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA: Meeting your partner's parents can be pretty daunting, and nobody knows this better than 'The Bachelorette' star Rachel Recchia. After picking Tino Franco for her hometown date, the 26-year-old flew down to California to meet Tino's family. Though Tino assured her that his parents would love her, unfortunately, it couldn't be farther from the truth.

From the get-go, Tino's parents- Joe and Sandi Franco, seemed to have several reservations against their darling son dating Rachel. From questioning Rachel's decision to explore her connections with other men to grilling her about her intentions to come on the dating show. Though Rachel tried her best to be calm and collected, while answering Joe's 'hard-hitting' questions, she couldn't help but sense that Tino's family didn't approve of her. The final nail in the coffin to confirm her feelings was when Tino's dad Joe took a dig at Rachel's love life. He labeled Rache's stint on 'The Bachelorette' as her 'second go-around after she failed to win Clayton Echard's heart on 'The Bachelor'.

While fans understood that Tino's parents were just being protective of their son, they however felt that Joe judging Rachel's love life and her attempts to find love was rude and felt it was uncalled for. Several fans took to Twitter to slam Joe and his snide remark. A fan tweeted, "This is your second go around is such a rude statement honestly Tino’s parents aren’t sh*t tbh #TheBachelorette #TheBachelorettes." "This is your second go-around” okay bro literally just google the show??? What a mean thing to say, I don’t like Tino’s dad #TheBachelorette," wrote a fan. "Oof what a gut punch from Tino’s Dad “This is your second go around [on the show]” Its one thing to be concerned for your kid but its another to just pile on their partner in a way that questions their character??? #TheBachelorette," observed a fan.
