'The Bachelorette' 2022: Fans fear Rachel's insecurity will ruin her shot with Aven
Logan Palmer switched from Rachel Recchia's group to Gabby Windey's during Week 5 of 'The Bachelorette.' So, Rachel was ready for all the romance on her one-on-one date with Aven Jones, and fans liked it, but some were worried about how Rachel would handle it going forward.
But, with all of the turmoil and Bachelorette-switching, this season has felt especially devoid of genuine romantic ties for our co-Bachelorettes. So it was time to have some one-on-one time with Rachel's potential future fiancé, Aven. Aven and Rachel don't have a pore between them, and during their date, they merely float around Bruges looking stunning and making out against ancient brick buildings. Despite all of the rejection, Rachel appears to have three full-fledged marriage hopefuls at this point, implying that things are about to get a whole lot more problematic for her.

Rachel put the bad feelings behind her on a picture-perfect one-on-one date with Aven, with whom she felt "really safe." They take a break from kissing their faces to eat some Belgian chocolate, but then it's back to making out. "He's really stepping it up," Rachel adds, "touching me, and kissing me, and making me feel desired and wanted." Rachel is given a wedding veil to try on by a trio of older ladies who are sewing lace, a centuries-old custom in Belgium. One can guess what happens next.
They had a horse-drawn carriage ride throughout town, visited a chocolate shop, and then went on a romantic midnight date. As Rachel braced herself for "the other shoe to drop," Aven revealed details of his upbringing, during which he spoke with his mother "through phone." They "got really close" as he grew older, and he recently gave him a rubber bracelet she crafted.
"Kind of seeing how these last couple weeks have been tough for you, I think if you hold onto it for a while, maybe it will turn your experience and all this around," Aven said as he presented Rachel the bracelet. She, in turn, presented him with a rose. "I’ve never felt this strong of a connection, or this natural of a connection, so quickly," Aven said to the cameras. "...I really do see Rachel as someone who could be my future wife."
Rachel said, "I could easily see myself falling in love with Aven, and I feel like I'm almost there."
Fans who are hopeful for the couple also fear Rachel's insecurity could jeopardise their relationship: "I hope Aven and Rachel work out. I just fear Rachel's self doubt ruining this potential relationship. #TheBachelorette." Another fan, rooting for the duo wrote: "Rachel and Aven should just leave together right this second and live happily ever after #TheBachelorette." However, some fans feel Aven will be the one who will end up heartbroken moving forward: "Aven’s gonna get his heartbroken, I just know it #thebachelorette." Some fans also feel, Rachel and Tino got more connection that her and Aven: "Ok, Aven is cute and thoughtful. His gift idea was super seeet so he gets good points from me BUT I think Rachel likes Tino more #thebachelorette."
