Tyler Norris, a contestant on 'The Bachelorette' Season 19, made it absolutely clear that he only wants to pursue Rachel Recchia. He recently explained on a podcast why he assured Rachel he was ready for marriage despite his age.

Tyler enjoyed a one-on-one dinner with Rachel following a group date on a recent episode. The men were invited to compose love notes to Rachel during the group date. Tyler had penned a poem for her the night before that he wished to share with her, so it was great timing. He now admits that he DM'd her when she was on Clayton Echard's season of 'The Bachelor.'

During dinner, Rachel expressed her admiration for Tyler's vulnerability on the group date. Tyler proceeded to open up to her about a previous relationship in which he had been hurt, but he stated that the unconditional love he felt was the finest feeling in the world. 'The Bachelorette' front runner desires to love the right person and isn't afraid of being hurt again. Rachel told him she sees herself in him because they are both willing to love and be hurt since love is the ultimate thing. Tyler stated that he would have done everything to meet Rachel. He added, "I came here for you. You know that."

Tyler claimed on the 'Click Bait with Bachelor Nation' podcast hosted by Tia Booth, Natasha Parker, and Joe Amabile that he DM'd Rachel on Instagram after watching her on 'The Bachelor.' He stated that Clayton's season was the only one he watched from start to finish. Tyler stated that he felt Rachel was "gorgeous" from the time she came out of the limousine. He stated that he was "about two bottles of wine deep" after the second episode when he decided to DM her. Tyler claimed to have written, "Hey! If things don't work out with Clayton and you ever end up on The Bachelorette, sign me up because I would love to pursue you." Tyler stated that he was contacted a week later informing him that he had been nominated for 'The Bachelorette.'

Tyler was questioned by Tia if Rachel had nominated him. He said, "I wish! I don't think so." Tyler stated that he did not believe Rachel saw the DM prior to 'The Bachelorette,' but he did tell her about it on their one-on-one date. He said Rachel assured him she would check her DMs to verify whether it was real. He also claimed that when he arrived at the show, he knew he was "one hundred percent" there for Rachel, but he also believes Gabby is amazing.

The Italian Stallion's decision to marry young

Age is only a number! In the same podcast, Tyler explained why it was vital for him to disclose his marital readiness despite being just 25 at the time the show was shot. He stated that as soon as they had the one-on-one time after he received the group date rose, he felt it was something he wanted to discuss with her. He was only 25 years old at the time. Furthermore, he is now 26, but he wanted to make sure she understood that it concluded with him getting engaged. He knew he'd gotten there with someone else before and that it was what he'd always wanted in my life. He went on to explain that his desire has always been to meet the person he would spend the rest of his life with and become a father.

Tyler went on to say that just because he's young doesn't mean he's not emotionally prepared for it. He walked in there and informed her about his past and that there was someone for whom he was willing to drop on one knee. He had even purchased a house for them to reside in, so he was prepared to take that step. Tyler said he realized he was ready to put himself back out there after a year and a half of recuperating from the split. He stated that he wanted Rachel to know that he is now prepared for something like that and is not afraid to take that risk with the right person.

Tyler and Rachel have had a decent rapport thus far. His feelings for her started the instant he saw her on 'The Bachelor,' and he put himself out there by DM'ing her. He appears to be the type of man who would go to any length for the lady he loves. Tyler might be the one to earn Rachel's last rose.
