'The Bachelor' Season 26: Susie's mother warns her to 'proceed with caution' with Clayton

While Susie's family was very welcoming, her mother Jean expressed some concern over the relationship

With Season 26 of 'The Bachelor' entering the hometowns segment of the show, it's definitely crunch time for Clayton. While he meets with the family and friends of the top four ladies, it boils down to if he can see a future with them. But, he also has to make a good impression on people who might just be his future in-laws.

When it comes to Susie, she certainly made quite an impact on him. First, her romantic confession seems to have sealed her spot in the top four, while her one on one date had the entire cast envious. Now, as she takes Clayton home to meet her parents, she mentioned how she's nervous, seeing that her father's opinion means everything to her.

For Susie, her father's health was her utmost concern, and she opened up to Clayton about how she wanted nothing more than for him to be there when she got married. Clayton later met with Susie's mom, Jean, her dad Tom, her sister Barbara and best friend, Lauren. Right off the bat, Susie's family seems to have gotten along well with Clayton, with Tom telling Clayton that if Susie wants him, the family approves of him too. When Jean sat down with Clayton, she asked him he was in love with Clayton. He spoke about how love is scared to him, and he wouldn't be in love with four women. However, he did mention that he could see himself falling in love with her. Later, Jean sat down with her daughter and told her to 'proceed with caution'. 

Fans were worried for Susie. "All jokes aside, I do kind of love Susie and I think that she, unlike 99.999999% of this franchise, is adorable and genuine #TheBachelor #TheBachelorABC" tweeted a fan. "Susie deserves to be protected from all the evils of the world #TheBachelor" noted a fan. "I'm so surprised that Susie family even likes Clayton this much #TheBachelor" asked another. 

Fans were also quick to call Clayton out on his answer about Love. "Clayton doesn't think it makes sense to fall in Love with 4 people. But somehow he will with 3 #TheBachelor" tweeted a fan. ""Love is sacred to me. I would never fall in Love with 4 people" -Clayton "I have fallen in love with all three of you" -also Clayton #TheBachelor" added another. ""So are you falling in love with Susie?" Clayton: "well no" Clayton next week: "I'm in love with all three of you" #TheBachelor" added another.
