'The Bachelor' 2021 Week 2 Elimination: Sydney Johnson to Alana Milne, meet the ladies who failed to woo Matt James
While each new episode of 'The Bachelor' comes with new twists, drama and blossoming romances galore, there's also a bit of heartbreak, seeing that some contestants will ultimately face the chop.
With the second elimination underway, fans saw four lovely women bid farewell to Matt James, their potential love story with him meeting its end. While there's already speculation on who the winner might be, we're still extremely curious to see how the remaining contestants perform. But while the rest of the ladies try to wiggle their way into James's heart, here are the contestants that are probably nursing broken heart.
Alana Milne
The 26-year-old photographer from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Alana Milne didn't successfully capture James's heart. A free-spirited person, Milne enrolled into different programs across Europe post-high-school, as opposed to just going to college. She believes it's this decision that shaped her into the woman that she is today. She always finds herself chasing adventure, seeing that she moved to Toronto entirely on a whim, as per her ABC bio. When it comes to what she's looking for in a man, Milne hopes to find someone she can enjoy everyday pleasures with, be it sipping wine, painting or cooking.
Illeana Pennetto
Food may be the way to a man's heart, but looks like 25-year-old health food developer Ileana Pennetto for New York might have lost her way to James'.
Pennetto, who is carving a name for herself in the health food industry, is the brains behind a nutritional snack known as 'Funky Munky Energy'. The entrepreneur has big dreams and is clearly determined to see it through. As per her ABC bio, she recently ended a four and a half year relationship, but that has not deterred her from looking for love - this time around she hopes to "settle down and find her missing puzzle piece". Pennetto knows just exactly what she wants from both, her relationship and her partner and hopes that their values align with her own. She prefers night ins over night outs, prioritiZing quality time between her and her partner. She also "loves love more than anything."
Khayla Epps
Khayla Epps, the 28-year-old healthcare advocate from Durham, North Carolina, unfortunately, didn't get Matt James's heart beating for her. However, she is extremely passionate about the health work she does in her community and the people of Durham genuinely appreciate her passion and effort. Although in a committed relationship with her work (for now) she doesn't see this as a bad thing, seeing that she is dedicated to what she does. She is looking for love though and considers herself to be a hopeless romantic. Epps is hoping to find a man who is one too so that he can sweep her right off her feet. Although a bit shy, all it takes is a spark for her to know that there could be something more.
Sydney Johnson
Sydney Johnson, a 28-year-old marketing specialist from Nashville Tennesse didn't have Matt James sold on their potential romance. An independent woman who isn't afraid to be vocal about what she wants, Johnson considers herself to be both, strong and opinionated. Although she comes off as tough and blunt, that doesn't take away from the fact that she's a romantic. As per her ABC bio, she hopes to find a man who will put in the effort to court and woo her. A big believer in opposites attract, she hopes to find a man who balances out her personality and at the same time, has big goals for his future. Her checklist is love, loyalty, motivation and support and you can best believe she isn't going to settle for anything less.
