'The Bachelor' Season 24: Sydney and Peter draws flak for 'sabotaging' Alayah, viewers call him 'indecisive'

Fans are not happy with what Sydney did and they're slamming Peter for not being able to make his own choices, especially since he was there to find his wife

After Hannah Ann's villain avatar and Champagne Gate, there's a new scandal in 'The Bachelor' land - Alayah and Sydney's "doing it for the cameras" controversy - and fans are not on Sydney's side. They're also slamming Peter for not being able to make his own choices - especially since he was there to find his wife.

"Peter couldn’t be more surface level," tweeted a fan. Another said, "I’m actually convinced that watching paint dry would be more entertaining than Peter as the bachelor." A third fan said, "If Peter is this confused and indecisive about Alayah, I’m never flying Delta again." Another said, "What we learned this week: Peter needs to work his shit out. If he says “confused” one more time."

This week, Alayah and Sydney become the finalists in the first contest hosted by Bachelor Nation alumni Demi Burnett. After some hair pulling, slamming around a pillow in lingerie, Alayah comes out on top, scoring a date with Peter. However, Sydney wasn't happy and out of nowhere, decided to accuse Alayah of being someone else in front of the cameras and Peter, making him question her motives. Fans think that Sydney is just being a bitter loser.

To make matters worse, Sydney gets a rose and Alayah is sent packing. "A++ sabotage job by Sydney," tweeted a fan. "I’m not a Sydney fan. She just tried to tear down another girl, for no reason other than her own gain. She can say she wants to take care of Peter all she wants. She wants what she wants," said another. A third one said, "Honestly I think Sydney is fake"

Although Sydney repeatedly claimed it was about keeping Peter in the know, it wasn't as convincing and seemed a lot like all the girls threw Alayah under the bus. Although it may be true that she may be putting up a show for the cameras, as the other contestants mentioned, it could be because of her pageant past - she is Miss Texas 2019. "Alayah might be a little fake on camera, but Sydney is insufferable - another case of rampant nice girl energy," tweeted a fan.

"Bachelor fans are so naive. Sydney was clearly just jealous of Alayah and they portrayed Alayah in a bad light cause she was getting eliminated," tweeted a fan speculating on Sydney's game plan.

We have a feeling this isn't over yet.
