'The Bachelor' Season 23: Cassie Randolph wins fans' support after she tweets about bullying and the show's 'characters' being real people
The one contestant fans have mixed emotions about is Cassie Randolph. Currently, everyone is aware Underwood is "crazy" about her after he revealed so during their one-on-one date.
When 'The Bachelor' aired Monday, we didn't witness Colton Underwood jump the fence, but we did witness a lot of drama and accusations. As the season nears its end, the women who are currently remaining, know they have to do all they can to gain Underwood's attention and prove to him they are ready to get married.
I think everyone needs to remember that these “characters” are real people. Emotions run at a high on this show and we are in a very unique environment. While I very much appreciate the support, please do not drag others through the mud or bully in the process. #TheBachelor— Cassie Randolph (@CassieRandolph) February 19, 2019
Through it all, the one contestant that fans have mixed emotions about is Cassie Randolph. Currently, everyone is aware Underwood is "crazy" about her after he revealed so during their one-on-one date. Apart from this, Randolph has been in the limelight in the past few weeks for other reasons as well. This week Kirpa Sudick and Tayshia Adams told Underwood they heard she wasn't genuine and is not here for marriage.
Ever since, some fans stated they didn't think Randolph is there for love, rather for fame, and that she will not accept Underwood's proposal. Throughout all this, we never heard a word from Randolph, and what her opinion on this issue was. But after Monday's episode, Randolph took to Twitter and wrote what she had on her mind.
She started off by saying that the characters in the show are real people and that a lot of emotions are at stake on the show. Adding to that, she asked people to be supportive and not bully the contestants. "I think everyone needs to remember that these 'characters' are real people. Emotions run at a high on this show and we are in a very unique environment. While I very much appreciate the support, please do not drag others through the mud or bully in the process. #TheBachelor," wrote Randolph.
This tweet from Randolph gained her a lot of fans, who supported her argument and revealed they do not agree with the rumors about her. "Hi I love you. this post shows how classy you are. What those girls did to you was not cool at all, obviously actions stemming from their insecurity over your connection with Colton. But yet you still don’t condone them being treated badly. Good for you," wrote a fan. While another added, "I honestly don’t understand how people think she’s a mean girl."
Through this all, though fans are supporting her, some are still angry with Randolph for the way she acted with Sudick. "[She] may not be a 'mean' girl but her conversation [with] Kirpa was very telling of how poorly she deals [with] situations and calling Kirpa an idiot was pretty mean," wrote a fan. While another added, "No matter how uncomfortable that situation, Cassie was rude and Kirpa kept calm."
To see if Randolph is the one for Underwood, and if the two end up together, we will have to tune into 'The Bachelor'.
