Did Matt James just declare his love for Rachel Kirkconnell? Following their recent date in the latest February 1 episode, fans couldn't help but wonder what is happening between them as they didn't shy away from establishing that they were "falling in love" with each other. 

It shouldn't come as a surprise that the rest of the suitresses were green-eyed monsters for Rachel as Matt showered her with clothes, shoes and loads of attention, which the others have been demanding since the beginning of the show.

During their one-on-one, Matt picks some of the most glamorous attire for Rachel and even helps her with her shoes, which leaves the latter teary-eyed. Later, they go on a candlelight dinner date where things start to get real.

When Matt asks Rachel why she has never been in love before, she tells him she isn't "confident" enough and is only looking for "true love" in a serious relationship. Meanwhile, Matt tells her that he feels extremely comfortable in her presence and praises her for staying low-key unlike others, which has caught his attention from the start. 

However, what struck viewers the most was how the date ended with both Matt and Rachel declaring their love for each other. Matt admits that he can "see a future" with Rachel with whom he had barely interacted before tonight's date.

Many are finding it hard to wrap their heads around Matt and Rachel's relationship, which is now defined by love. The majority of them are asking if Matt is genuinely in love with Rachel and even if he does, what is it that made him fall for her.

When did he fall in love?? #TheBachelor" A user wrote, "Matt to Rachel in WEEK 5 : I’m falling in love with you 99.9% of the viewing public: #TheBachelor." Another added, "Is this the first time Matt has ever spoken to Rachel? And he’s saying he’s in love already????? What the fuck is going on?????????? #Bachelor."

'The Bachelor' airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
