In the December 9 episode of ‘The Amazing Race’, the teams moved on to the next destination from Cambodia to Manilla. The alliance formed within the three teams — Hung and Chee, Maddison and Riley and Will and James — was stronger than ever and they wanted DeAngelo and Gary out of the game.

Once the teams reached Manilla they found host Phill Keoghan waiting for them, which was strange because Phill usually met the teams at the end of the game. Phill told them the upcoming challenge wasn’t going to work if they don’t work together, collectively.

For the first challenge the teams go for a city sprint in the densely populated town. They were asked to reach a point where Manilla’s entertaining traffic police would hand them the clue. The catch was the vehicle they were traveling in wouldn’t stop or reverse if they missed it. Manilla being densely populated, the traffic was intense which made the challenge very difficult. The beard brothers Maddison and Riley were the first ones to get the clue to the next destination followed by DeAngelo and Gary. Two teams, the couple, Hung and Chee and boyfriends Will and James struggled for a bit and had to circle back a couple of times to get the clues. The first challenge required them to run from one point to the other in high heels. DeAngelo and Gary were the first ones to finish the challenge and get the third clue, followed by the beard brothers.

Once they reached the third location they had to take the clue for their next task straight from the lion’s mouth. They had to keep looking into the mouths of the dancing lion puppets, a popular culture in the Philippines. Hung and Chee initially struggled as they reached a different location but eventually found their way back. In the meantime, the remaining three teams found their clues and got started with the task which required collecting ingredients from different points and feeding the horse. The Will and James were the first to finish the task and move on to the last challenge.

For the last challenge, the teams had to identify the songs that were being played by a band and had to remember in which of the destinations they had heard the tune during the entire challenge. Initially, all the team members struggled to identify the tunes and the alliance of the three teams (Hung and Chee, Maddison and Riley and Will and James) decided to help each other, leaving DeAngelo and Gary by themselves. When the other teams got the right answer and left, DeAngelo and Gary decided to give up because they thought there was no way they were going to get the right answer.

While the three teams made it to the finale, DeAngelo and Gary got eliminated from the game.

'The Amazing Race' Season 32 airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on CBS.
