LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Acolyte' Episode 7 dropped on Disney+ on July 9, 2024. The intriguing episode took the audience back to Brendok where events from 16 years ago were explored from a different point of view.

The gripping episode gave a deeper understanding of Master Sol (Lee Jung-Jae) and his relationship with Osha (Amandla Stenberg) and Mae from 16 years ago. As it turns out, the Jedi were responsible for the death of the witches at the coven. It also took us back to a point where Master Sol had to choose between Mae and Osha and decided to save Osha instead of Mae.

While the episode explored the past of the characters, it also had plenty of easter eggs that pertained to events in the 'Star Wars' universe. Here's a look at the easter eggs.

The Great Hyperspace Disaster

Master Indara (Carrie Anne-Moss) mentions the Great Hyperspace Disaster which took place a hundred years before the events of 'The Acolye' and destroyed Brendok before a concentration of Force was discovered to be there.

'Light of the Jedi' novel from the 'Star Wars' universe explores the disaster as one of the first stories in the 'Star Wars' universe where a ship traveling through the universe was destroyed and its pieces exploded to destroy many worlds like Brendok

Vergence

Episode 7 explores the real intentions of the Jedi Masters who were on Brendok. While Episode 3 told us that the Jedi were on Brendok to recruit Mae and Osha, here we see that the purpose of them to be on this planet was to study Vergence, a concentration of Force.

Vergence in the 'Star Wars' galaxy exists both on the Light and Dark side of the Force. It is a Force Nexus that can be found on a planet, an object, or even people.

Mustafar, Dagobah, or Ahch-To are planets that have been known to have the Force Nexus and Anakin Skywalker was an individual who was Vergence and had concentration of Force.

Kelnacca's cooking

In a scene from Episode 7, Kelnacca (Joonas Suotamu) is cooking and Torbin (Dean Charles-Chapman) says he isn't hungry. Indara cautions him to not insult a Wookie's cooking.

There is a similar reference in 'A New Hope' where Han Solo cautions against upsetting a Wookie. Later in the episode, we learn just how dangerous the Wookie is when he attacks both Sol and Torbin after his mind is controlled by the witches

High M-counts

Torbin takes Mae and Osha's blood test and it reveals that they have high M-Counts. A high M-Count in the 'Star Wars' universe usually refers to a high sensitivity to Force.

There is a similar reference to the character of Anakin Skywalker who has a high M-Count too in 'The Phantom Menace'. The character arc of Mae and Osha has many similarities to that of Anakin Skywalker and the final episode may reveal a connection.

Kylo Ren theme

During the duel between Kelnacca and Sol, we hear the Kylo Ren theme play again. This has been a common occurrence since the fifth episode fueling suspicions of a connection between Kylo Ren and the show.

Previously, the theme had been played when Qimir (Manny Jacinto) was on screen and this time it is when the witches possess Kelnacca.
