TENNESSEE: A 19-year-old Tennessee woman has died after she succumbed to horrific injuries she suffered in an attack by a pack of five dogs, according to local authorities.

The victim, Adrieanna O' shea who hails from Maryville, was rushed to the hospital on August 23 after she was attacked by five dogs at a residence located on Crescent Drive.

The victim had gone to the location to retrieve her purse. According to the Knox Sheriff's Department, a witness shared that she had heard the woman call out to one of the dogs by name before she started yelling, "Help Me!". The witness reportedly ran to the door and saw O'Shea being tossed in the air and violently dragged towards a wooded area by the pack.

O'Shea was discovered by authorities covered in bite marks and wounds. She was also unconscious. The police added that the dogs had torn off almost all of O'Shea's clothing and she was found covered in blood.

She had somehow managed to run and jump over a small fence in order to get away from the dogs. When the police reached the spot, a deputy had to resort to shooting and killing one of the dogs after it charged at him. The dogs were described as a mastiff, a Rottweiler-lab mix, two mastiff-lab mixes, and a pit bull.

A married couple reportedly owned the dogs along with their son who stays in a mobile home on his parents' property, according to a report by the DailyMail. The victim was leaving a house that was adjacent to the one where the dogs were.

The incident report revealed that one of the owners told the deputies that the "dogs were just doing their jobs". The owners also revealed that the dogs had been euthanized. The victim's aunt, Darlene Schultz-Scott, meanwhile shared online that her niece had fought very hard before dying.

"I am so proud of you for fighting so hard, and I know you were just too tired to keep fighting. I  will never forget your beautiful face, corky sense of humor, and full of so much energy!" she wrote on Facebook.
