EXCLUSIVE | 'Temptation Island' star Ashley G reveals what drew her to KB on the show
During the recently aired reunion special of 'Temptation Island', we saw Ashley G getting a lot of flak for hooking up with KB on her very first night on the island. Although eventually, things got ugly between KB and her on the show, during the reunion we saw him sing praises of her and they appeared to be in a good space. In an exclusive interview with Ashley G, we discussed her stint on the show, what drew her to KB.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m a very emotional person. I have an over-the-top personality but I’m a sweetheart as long as people are respectful. I give them back the same energy.
How long have you and Rick been dating, and how did you guys meet?
Rick and I were together for 4-and-a-half years. We met at a Karmaloop Holiday party. I was a blogger and fashion intern and he was a model for the company.
Why did you want to come on Temptation Island?
I went on Temptation Island with the purpose of getting my ring from Rick.
After coming to the island, you were instantly drawn to KB. Can you tell us what drew you to him?
KB was aggressive and all in my face. He knew what he wanted and said a lot of things to build me up then break me down for easy access. I was always unsure about his intentions but in a very emotional state I went with the flow because Rick was saying he wasn’t cuffing me, the very last time I’d see him. Sometimes as women when we sleep with a guy to get over another, we project our desires from our prior relationship on our rebound bae wanting it to work even though it’s not meant to be. A foolish mistake done so often but caught on camera! Everyone does it, fight me.
Were you worried that Rick might be developing similar feelings for some temptress on the island?
No I wasn’t worried at all (rolling my eyes).
We finally saw you leave the island with Rick. Can you share how has your experience being on the show affected/changed your relationship?
Drastically. There is none.
Would you d do it all over again?
I would and I’d do it all differently.
