Heartwarming footage shows two teens driving around fire-ravaged Australia and rescuing koalas.

Good samaritans are on the move and many people are doing all they can to help out. The video clip was taken on Kangaroo Island which is rich in wildlife. The two teen boys, 19-year-old Micah and 18-year-old Caleb, were driving around and picking up koalas to save them.

Besides rescuing them, the two boys will be looking after the koalas until they are able to return to the wild. Their cousin had initially shared the video and said they left behind any animals that seemed to be ok, as reported by LadBible. They had also reported that around 60% of the koalas they came across had been burned to death.

Around one-fifth of the koalas, they saved within the first day, died given their serious injuries. The video had been shared on Reddit along with the caption, "Amid the terrible bushfires in Australia, my cousins went out and saved as many koalas as they could. Good on 'em."

Model Sam McGlone had also managed to capture the moment that he saved a burned baby kangaroo from a wildfire. While fighting the flames, the volunteer firefighter spotted a tiny joey that was hiding under a scorched tree. He then ran towards the fire and picked up the animal before running to safety.

He then wrapped the baby joey in a blanket before giving it some water and rushing it to the vet. He had shared on his Instagram, "Everyone meet my little baby. I saved him out of the fire today. We got you buddy don't worry."

The New South Wales Transport Minister Andrew Constance compared the bushfires to "an atomic bomb". However, experts have warned that the worst is yet to come.
