A 13-year-old girl was found dead in the bushes around 72 hours after she decided to run away from home after she had an argument with her stepfather. Almost eight hours after the teenager stormed out, the parents reported her missing.
As reported by Daily Mail, an inquest heard that the teenager Amber Peat's mother, 37-year-old Kelly Peat, and stepfather, 34-year-old Danny Peat, had raised an alarm when Amber went missing after they went shopping to Tesco and then had dinner. The incident took place on May 30 last year, just a month after Amber turned 13. The teenager was less than 5ft tall and had left the house around 5.10 pm in the evening after she had been told to clean out a cool box.
