In a piece of good news, Scottish alternative rock band, Teenage Fanclub, is all set for their comeback after a gap of four years. Yes, the rock band is dropping their 11th studio album in the form of ‘Endless Arcade’ early next year. Making the news official, the band shared the big news on their Twitter account with the caption, “Endless Arcade, the new brand album from Teenage Fanclub, will be released 5th March 2021.”

Teenage Fanclub’s ‘Endless Arcade’ is a follow-up to their 2016 much-acclaimed album ‘Here’. According to Pitchfork, the new record will be band’s first album without founding member Gerard Love who departed from the band in 2018. The current line-up includes Norman Blake on vocals and guitar, Raymond McGinley on vocals and guitar, Francis MacDonald on drums and vocals, Dave McGowan on keyboards and guitar along with bass, vocals and Euros Childs on keyboards and vocals.

Release date

‘Endless Arcade’ will hit the Internet on March 5, 2021, via Merge. The album is also up for pre-order here.

Concept

Shedding some light on the album’s title, as reported by Pitchfork, songwriter Raymond McGinley said in a statement, “I think of an ‘Endless Arcade’ as a city that you can wander through, with a sense of mystery, an imaginary one that goes on forever. When it came to choosing an album title, it seemed to have something for this collection of songs.”

Tracklist

Teenage Fanclub’s ‘Endless Arcade’ will be stacked with 12 songs. The very first single from the album called ‘Home’ has already been released with an intention to promote the album. The band has also included their 2019 single ‘Everything Is Falling Apart’ in their upcoming album. Speaking of songs, here’s how the entire tracklist of the album looks like:

‘Home’
‘Endless Arcade’
‘Warm Embrace’
‘Everything Is Falling Apart’
‘The Sun Won’t Shine On Me’
‘Time’
‘In Our Dreams’
‘I’m More Inclined’
‘Back In The Day’
‘Teenage Fanclub – The Future’
‘Living With You’
‘Silent Song’
