MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA: Three teenaged girls savagely beat and stabbed 17-year-old Lesley Luna Pantaleon to death and dumped her body in a creek before hastily going to McDonald’s to have some smoothies, latest reports have revealed. The incident, which depicts the gruesome and heartless nature of the girl’s alleged murder, took place on June 24, 2020.

Pantaleon was reportedly killed by Ta’Niya Merriweather, Erin Taylor and their apparent ringleader, Tyeshia Whisenant, all aged 16. The incident happened after Pantaleon's gun went missing. She allegedly “put a hit” on the home where the gun had ended up. On the incident day, Pantaleon arrived at her house to take the firearm. Soon she got into an argument with Whisenant. Following the altercation, Pantaleon and the trio, along with a juvenile boy who has gone nameless, got into a 2006 Blue Chevy Trailblazer and drove to a wooded area where the girls tried to murder Pantaleon. They beat her up with a metal pole, taken off from a gate, and then stabbed her with it.

On returning from the crime scene, the trio came to Whisenant's house, and allegedly confessed to their crime to another girl. They then went back to the woods and reportedly found out that Pantaleon's toes were still moving. Whisenant then told her friends that Pantaleon “needed to be taken care of”. So they put her dying body in the vehicle and drove to a creek and dumped it in along with the metal pole. Once done, the girls headed for McDonald's to have some smoothies.

True Crime Daily reported that on finally finding her body in a nearby lake on July 4, it was impossible to determine what had actually killed Pantaleon as her body and skull were brutally smashed. According to the Montgomery Advertiser, some of Pantaleon’s last words before getting murdered were: “Just take me home, you can have my truck.” But according to lawyers representing Merriweather, Taylor and Whisenaut, robbery was not a motive in the alleged slaying, therefore, the girls cannot be charged with capital murder. According to a report by People magazine, the Alabama police were able to connect with the three 16-year-olds to Pantaleon’s alleged murder through her cell phone records.
