'Teen Mom OG': Mackenzie's mother asks her to stay with Josh even after he cheated on her, fans scream 'NO'
Mackenzie McKee and Josh McKee's relationship seemed straight out of a fairytale and many fans idolized the couple. However, things changed when there were reports about Josh cheating on her.
As 'Teen Mom OG' returned for another season, viewers got to see what really happened between the pair and if the rumors were true.
In the previous season, Mackenzie's life was torn apart when she read the headlines that hinted that Josh had been unfaithful. It was also the time when her mother had been battling cancer and this news on top of that broke the reality star.
Mackenzie knew that she wasn't ready to face anything else while her mother was battling cancer and due to this, she decided to ask Josh to move out of the house. However, the new season showed us how her life had been difficult ever since she heard of Josh's infidelity.
She finally had the courage to ask him about the cheating and he confessed that he had cheated. At that moment, Mackenize knew that things had changed. She found it hard to trust him. This prompted her to go and ask her mother, Angie Douthit for advice. She explained to her mother what had happened and how she is finding it hard to trust Josh again.
However, Mackenzie's mother did not think it was a good decision to split. Angie told Mackenzie that she should try to work things out with Josh as there were children involved. She further asked Mackenzie if there was something that she would have done differently. Mackenzie made it clear that she was not going to be one of those women who blamed themselves for something their husband had done.
Despite this, Angie thought that there were some things that Mckenzie should work on and think again about splitting with Josh. Hearing these words, fans thought that it was wrong of Angie to favor Josh despite knowing that he had been unfaithful. "Mackenzie’s mom saying just stay with him for the kids. No," one wrote.
Another added, "I agree with Mackenzie on this one. I hate that her mom even said that to her. You are never to blame for someone cheating on you." Another echoed similar thoughts and wrote, "Wow I can’t believe Mackenzie’s mom just asked her what she could have gone differently."
While Mackenzie and her mom are divided on what she should do, it looks like we will just have to wait for her decision.
