Warning: Spoilers for 'Ted Lasso' series finale

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As ‘Ted Lasso’ ends witht he Season 3 finale, the fact that it is the last season is not really sinking in. However, some of the stories on the show ended without any proper conclusion. One of the stories that viewers of the show were eager to know about was the romance between Roy and Keeley.

In Season 3, Roy and Keeley broke-up but stayed friends. As the season progressed, Roy finally reveals to Keeley that he wanted to be more than friends. However, Keeley was focussing more on her personal growth and does not give this much thought. In the finale, Roy struggled to find a way into Keeley’s life as her lover. On the other hand, Roy and Jamie’s friendship grew stronger. We don't know what became of Roy and Keeley in the end. However, the love triangle between Roy, Keeley and Jamie needed a satisfying conclusion.

Roy and Jamie make Keeley furious

As Roy tries to bring back the spark in his relationship with Keeley, he meets up with Jamie to let him know that their relationship was “getting there” and to back off as he had strong feelings for Keeley as well. The fact that Roy and Keeley weren’t “official" was reason enought for Jamie to state that he would not step aside. The two brawl over Keeley, ending up at her home to ask her to choose between them. A frustrated Keeley throws both of them out because she feels insulted that they believed she would choose between them. What became of the three? Only another season will reveal their fate.

Jamie and Roy’s strong friendship

Although Roy was keen on getting back with Keeley and aware of the fact that Jamie also had feelings for her, he didn’t let this affect their friendship. He told Jamie that “whatever happens, this won’t affect our friendship." Remember when Roy was constantly on Jamie’s case in Season 1 over his dumb behavior? Their friendship in Season 3 gave us goosebumps.

Roy Kent becomes a part of ‘The Diamond Dogs’

After Roy fails to get back with Keeley, he gets despondent over the situation. He finally wants to become a part of ‘The Diamond Dogs’ as he worked hard to change. He wanted to know if a person can really change and discussed his situation with Ted, Trent, Coach Beard, Higgins and Nate. Higgins tells him, “Human beings are never going to be perfect, Roy. The best we can do is ask for help and accept it when we can. By doing that, we can always strive for improvement and keep moving forward."

The Season 3 finale of ‘Ted Lasso’ di dnot give any clues as to what became of Jamie and Keeley’s relationship. However, it seemed to indicate that Keeley was not interest in being with either of them.

‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3 is exclusively streaming on Apple TV+
