LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Seth MacFarlane's foul-mouthed teddy bear is back to life but this time as a mini TV series. All seven episodes of the prequel series 'Ted' have been dropped on Peacock on January 11.

'Ted' is a prequel series of MacFarlana's previous releases, 'Ted' (2012) and 'Ted 2' (2015). It features Max Burkholder as John Bennett while MacFarlana continues to be the voice of the titular character.

'Ted', set in 1993 chronicles the youthful exploits of John Bennett alongside his animated Teddy Bear, Ted. After a series of antics that irritate John's parents, they decide to send Ted to school.

Serving as John's faithful sidekick, Ted accompanies him through the trials and tribulations of junior high school. Their adventures include confronting bullies, their initial exposure to an adult film, and finally, losing the V-card.

What happened in 'Ted' Season 1 Episode 7?

In the concluding episode of 'Ted', titled 'He's Gotta Have It', the story unfolds with Ted and John, sitting on their lawn, engaged in a profound reflection of their experiences at the junior high.

As a thunderstorm strikes above them, they yell back together, which surprisingly morphs into beautiful lyrics, subtly hinting at the origins of the 2012 movie's song, 'Thunder Buddies'.

Throughout the episode, John, with Ted as his wingman, attempts to win over Bethany by fabricating tales of his sexual escapades. His efforts, however, fail to impress Bethany who eventually breaks off their relationship, leading to the cancellation of their prom plans.

The prom night witnesses a dramatic turn of events when John, in a moment of confrontation, admits to Bethany about his lack of sexual experiences. When she dismisses his confession, he daringly takes to the stage to announce his virginity to the entire school.

Despite hoping for solidarity from fellow virgins, his admission is met with silence, leading to an embarrassing moment for him. Yet, his courageous act bears fruit when Bethany, in a private moment, confesses to being a virgin as well.

In an unexpected twist, their intimate moment at Bethany's house is interrupted by a breaking news report on TV about OJ Simpson’s case, which captivates Bethany's attention and halts their impending sexual encounter.

The series wraps up with John returning home, sharing his disappointing experience with Ted but optimistically looking forward to an even better senior year together.

Will there be Season 2 of 'Ted'?

There has been no official confirmation about 'Ted' being renewed for another season. However, it isn't completely off the charts as well.

If 'Ted' Season 2 ever happens, it will explore John and Ted's life through senior year.
