Married teacher, 32, arrested for sending nude photos and videos to two 14-year-old students

The mother of three, who taught at Hunters Creek Middle School in North Carolina, allegedly sent the images to her male students
UPDATED DEC 10, 2019

ONSLOW COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA: A North Carolina schoolteacher reportedly sent inappropriate photos of herself to two 14-year-old students, according to sheriff's deputies.

Ashley Henson Beasley, 32, who taught science at Hunters Creek Middle School in Onslow County, North Carolina, allegedly shared the X-rated images with some of her male students, Metro reports.

A married mother of three, Beasley was arrested on Friday. This was two days after the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office was referred to an anonymous tip the school had received about the teacher's alleged behavior.

"The information was that a teacher at Hunters Creek Middle School was having an inappropriate relationship with two 14-year-old male students," a spokesman for the school explained. "An investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit began immediately thereafter and it revealed that Beasley sent inappropriate photos and videos of herself to two of her students at the Hunters Creek Middle School."

That said, sheriff's deputies are yet to reveal how Beasley’s alleged crimes were spotted by the anonymous tipster. They are also yet to say what the images showed.

Beasley is currently being held on an $80,000 bond at the Onslow County Sheriff’s Detention Center and was scheduled to appear in court on Monday. She faces two counts of indecent liberties with a child and two counts of felony indecent liberties with a student by a teacher.

The science teacher, who resigned and surrendered her teaching license last Thursday, had started working at Hunters Creek only in August this year.

“Our heart goes out to all of those who have been affected by the events that have resulted in charges being filed against Ashley Beasley. Our primary concern is always for the safety and well being of our students and the members of our school community,” the school district said in a statement. “The Onslow County School system maintains high standards for all our employees and these allegations stand in stark contrast to our expectations.”
