FAIRFAX COUNTY, VIRGINIA: A fuming mother has raised her voice against a Virginia school as she shared a traumatic video of her 12-year-old son being strangled and bullied by an older girl in a school bus. Taylor Brock said her son was attacked by the girl on January 23, when she grabbed him by the neck and tried to choke him against the bus seat.

Brock shared one-minute-long footage of the horrific incident on Monday, February 13. In the video, the two young children, both seventh graders at Whitman Middle School, were seen indulging in a verbal altercation before the girl grabs the boy by his neck. Seconds later, she appeared to be choking him against the seat. "My son came home crying, and I saw the marks on his neck. It breaks my heart that there are all these kids on the bus and not one decided to stand up," Brock said, adding that the girl has a 60-pound weight advantage over her son.

School ignored protective order

The mother continued by saying that the two friends of her son, who were on board the bus, were scared to come forward as they feared that they will be bullied too. She also said that no parents were told about the incident. Brock later shared pictures of vivid red bruises on her son's neck following the choking. She even stated that before the event in January, the girl had bullied her son and even stolen from him before.

Following the incident, Brock pressed charges against the girl and had a protective order issued by a Fairfax County judge. The order requires the girl to stay at least 50 feet away from her son for the next two years. However, the mother claims that the school teachers have ignored the order as her son regularly encounters his tormentor in school. She stated that after being suspended for the incident, the girl was instructed to walk in a separate hallway but the boy still sees her and even shares lunch hours with her, Daily Mail reported.

‘My son is still not protected'

"This isn't something that's going away for him," Brock wrote on her blog. "She gets suspended and goes back to school. It doesn't seem like a fair trade. My son is still not protected. If other children are coming forward and they don't have video, then there's no hope for them because I have video and still nothing." The judge who granted the restraining order, according to the mother, is also perplexed as to why the bully had still not been dismissed from school.

After she saw the video, Brock went to the school right away and showed the authorities her son’s bruises before going to the police to file charges, she said in a separate interview with WJLA. "All of this evidence, and still, only suspension, still putting someone who harmed my child in the same vicinity and not abiding by the protection order or anything I've put in place," Brock told the station. She further claimed that her son will be switching schools and is seeking therapy over the trauma of the incident.
