5 unknown facts about Tara Jay
1. A transgender TikToker
Tara Jay's real name is Thomas Jay White. She considers herself a lesbian and actively posts her thoughts on TikTok with her 2.4K followers. Jay began transitioning in 2017. She made headlines when she urged other transgenders and people from the LGBTQ+ community to purchase firearms for their own safety in a video. Although Jay is frequent on social media, her posts are often taken down due to their graphic content and violent threats.
2. A 'racist woman beater'
A woman named Allison White, who claimed to be Jay’s ex-wife, came forward and described the TikToker as a “racist woman beater” who “threatened to knock” her teeth out. Information shared by Oli London, an influencer and de-transitioner, exposed the social media comments made by Jay’s ex-wife, where she claimed that Jay endlessly harasses people on Facebook and is also abusive toward her. In one of her comments, White claimed that Jay did not have a job and was using her Crohn’s disease as “an excuse not to work".
3. A threat to women's safety
Jay recently sparked backlash for asserting that anyone who tried to stop a transgender person from using a women's restroom would face retaliation. "I dare you to try and stop me from going into the women’s bathroom. It will be the last mistake you ever make," Jay said in a viral video in April.
4. Backlash on social media
Catering to her threatening comments, several people reacted. Jay's statements also raised concerns from many Twitter users. While some were concerned about their safety, other users wanted him behind bars. She shared her unapologetic in a video posted after the March 27 murder of six people by a transgender woman at a Nashville Christian school and sparked anger online. Her video has since been taken down.
5. A cyberbully
According to the comments shared by Oli, White also opined that Jay is a cyberbully because she knows that she cannot “fight in real life except against women.”
