It wasn't an ideal start for Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they went down 34-23 against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, September 13.  For the 43-year-old Quarterback, it was a struggle as he completed 23 passes of 36 for 239 yards that also saw two touchdowns and being intercepted twice. That said, it wasn't a great game for Saints QB Drew Brees either, as he ended the game with 18 of 30 passes, 160 yards and two touchdowns.

While Brady led an impressive first drive with his new team. He orchestrated a nine-play, as well as a two-yard quarterback sneak that resulted in the first points of the game. After that first strike, however, it was all Saints. Needless to say, Twitter had their share of thoughts about Brady's game. For starters, it was one of the most common things said to almost anyone who had a bad day out. "Even Tom Brady isn’t safe from 2020," wrote one of the fans.

Some felt it was okay to let this one go considering it was a new start for Brady with a new team. It's hard to tell whether it was Brady's unfamiliarity or the fact that the Saints were better today, but limiting Brady and the Bucs to just 23 points was certainly impressive. Almost everyone had their thoughts about Brady's game. "And it’s his first game with the bucs give him some slack. he has no chemistry with that team. Mike Evans not completing his route, everybody dropping pass left and right. what do you Brady to be Vick and run for 100 yards," a fan opined.

Non-Brady fans had their two-cents put in as well, in fact, some who really disapprove of the quarterback felt a sense of satisfaction as they watched him fail. "Though I felt super weird rooting for the Saints. But whatever it takes to see Tom Brady fail man. I’d gladly exchange @AzorAhai06‘s life for it," read one of the tweets.

For those who watched the game, the Saints could manage only four plays in the opening drive, while Brady on the other hand managed nine. Soon after, it was all Saints as they went 24-0 that also saw two touchdowns by Alvin Kamara. The end result means the Saints are now 1-0 on the division.

A few fans felt this was another reason for Brady to bounce back stronger. "I've seen this show before. Brady has a bad game. Everyone counts him out. Next thing you know he's going to the superbowl. Let's not jinx it," he reckoned.

One of the Saints fan still felt the Bucs would get better and attributed the loss to a string of reasons. "From a Saints fan the Bucs made a lot of mistakes on offense. I think mainly because Tom Brady hasn’t had time to work long enough with his new team he had no preseason to gauge how they would do against different defenses. The Bucs will get better."

The Bucs will next face the Carolina Panthers on September 20.
