Bucs vs Saints: Nick Wright slams Tom Brady again, says 'Bucs are just a QB away from being a real contender'

The NFL world is well aware that 'First Things First' host Nick Wright hates the New England Patriots and Tom Brady. The man has never refrained from taking digs at the Quarterback and he's not backing down after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost 34-23 to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday in their season opener. Wright took the opportunity to take a potshot a Brady with a tweet that saw him slam the 43-year-old GOAT.

"No shame in losing at NO if you’re Tampa, especially with having a FG blocked & giving up a Pick 6. Run game & defense looked really good. The Bucs are just a quarterback away from being a real contender. Maybe they’ll get one in the draft next year," his tweet read.

And this wasn't the first time. He's had his share of taking on Brady. Earlier this year, he called him the worst QB in the division after Brady signed with the Bucs. According to TotalProSports, "The idea that Tampa is a championship-contending team now, I think is lunacy," Wright said in his tweet.

"If I could only walk through one of two doors — Door 1 is the Bucs are competing for championship, much less championships, or Door 2 is by Thanksgiving the Bucs are saying, 'Oh my god, we're tied to this guy for next year as well?' Door 2 is far more likely, and I’ll take it a step further. Is it more likely Tom Brady is the best quarterback in that division, or the worst quarterback in that division? Drew Brees is better than him right now. Matt Ryan is better than him right now. And Teddy Bridgewater… I’d rather have Teddy Bridgewater next year than 43-year-old Tom Brady," he said as per a video snippet by 'First Things First'.

Leading us to ask the question: Why the hate towards Brady? At some stage, taking digs at a team is still something most of us do, but now, it is safe to say Wright has surely managed to tick off Brady fans with his latest comments. Whether the hate stems from the fact that Brady was ex-New England is something we don't know. There is no clear answer, but what we do know is he sure isn't a Brady fan.

There is no doubt that Wright has been vocal of his opinions on games and his analysis over the years has earned him bouquets and brickbats. However, this one didn't sit well with fans. "Did Brady run over your dog or something. I’ve never seen anyone hate a player so much. Even if he has played bad you are obsessed," responded one of the fans.

"How nice it must be to get paid to talk about things you know nothing about," read another tweet.

By the looks of it, it sure feels like this war is far from over. What are your thoughts on Wright's comments after the Bucs vs Saints game?
