'So You Think You Can Dance' season 16 finale winner: Bailey Munoz becomes first B-boy to win the series

Wrapping up an impeccable season filled with surplus talent, Bailey now becomes the first B-boy to ever win 'So You Think You Can Dance'.

After weeks of dancing and voting 'So You Think You Can Dance' season 16 reached its grand finale as they crowned their winner. 

So who won? Completing the eventful dance journey and making it to the finale as frontrunners of this season were  Gino Cosculluela, Bailey Munoz, Sophie Pittman, and Mariah Russell. On Monday night when the series returned, the Top 4 contestants took to the stage one last time before SYTYCD crowned its winner. Prior to announcing the winner, the series took a trip down memory lane with a two-hour episode as they welcomed back alumni and revisited the famed routines this season featured. 

The series also brought back fan-favorite Phoebe Kochis a young dancer who suffers from Down Syndrome. After the alumni and the finalists performed for one last time on the stage this season, SYTYCD went on to reveal the winner.

Coming in fourth was Sophie Pittman, In third place was Gino Cosculluela which left Mariah and Bailey vying for the trophy. Finally, after a long wait, Cat Deeley revealed that fan-favorite Bailey won the season after he received the most votes. 

M E A WorldWide (Meaww) had already predicted that fans are rooting for Bailey to win, and right enough he surely did. 

Wrapping up an impeccable season filled with surplus talent, Bailey now becomes the first B-Boy to ever win 'So You Think You Can Dance'. Once the results were out, in no time fans took to Twitter and showered Bailey with love revealing that this was the best season yet.

"In all 16 seasons, I have never been more impressed by a dancer! I won’t even say a bboy because Bailey has proven that he is not just a bboy! He is a straight up dancer!! He is so deserving of this title!! He will do great things! They all will but I’m so happy Bailey won!" wrote a fan on Twitter. 

Adding to that another fan said, "Ridiculously happy he won. Truly one of the best dancers all season. So talented #sytycdfinale."

"I’m so glad he won. Mariah and Gino were also amazing, but @bailrok deserves this and has beyond proven his talent against all the odds," said another fan. While another fan said, "Haha!! So happy!! Called it!! I knew it would be a guy this year and I’m so glad it’s him!!"
