After weeks of competing against each other on an island in Fiji, Tommy was crowned the winner of 'Survivor: Island of the Idols' season 39 and he now gets to take home a million dollars. Tommy won this season by never getting to go to the island of the idols, and by not playing any big moves.

What started off with five contestants, 'Survivor: Island of the Idols' season 39 finale and reunion was a two-hour event. The final five contestants that made it were Janet, Tommy, Dean, Noura, and Lauren.

The first amongst the five to be eliminated was Janet after she played her immunity idol and it got nullified by Dean's idol nullifier. The next contestant who was eliminated amongst them was Lauren after she was pit against Dean to make fire, but he beat her to it.  Then there were three, Noura, Dean, and Tommy. They had to convince the jury to vote for their win. It really came down to Tommy and Dean. But Dean blew his chance when the jury caught him telling a lie. In the end, after the votes were done, we were taken to the reunion where Jeff Probst revealed the winner.

Winning with the highest votes was none other than Tommy. The only two people who voted for Dean were Elizabeth and Aaron. Taking to Twitter post the reveal fans are having mixed reactions, with a few genuinely happy for his win and the rest not that happy.

A fan wrote, "congrats to Tommy! The lesson for future players is to go in there and play your own game. Be yourself. Don’t try to be someone else. Tommy didn’t go to the “Island of the Idols.” He didn’t need any advice from a former player. He paved his own way."

"Literally the most BORING winner #Survivor has ever seen. No immunity wins, no idols found, didn’t even GO to Island of the Idols. Sorry Tommy, but you will be a forgotten winner for sure. What a snooze fest. Time for season 40!!! #SurvivorFinale," fan wrote. Adding to that another said, "Love that Tommy won without any advantages, idols or immunity wins. He was great and well deserving! Funny that he never visited island of the idols on the season island of the idols #Survivor."

"This is such a joke. Women are being rigged against. Cancel this show. Boring Tommy won.. who even shocked. Another male. Cancel this," a fan wrote.
