'Survivor: Island of the Idols' Season 39 preview: Fans lash out at producers for not releasing intro of contestants
Ready yourself peeps, 'Survivor: Island of the Idols' Season 39 is all set to grace our screens in barely a day. With the series all set to premiere, fans are excited about what the new season brings but they are not in favor of the series not having an intro for its contestants.
Just like the 'Rites of Passage', the forthcoming Season 39 series seems to be done with another long-time tradition for no reason and the fans are not in favor of it. Even though the series released a sneak peek of the first challenge ahead of the premiere, fans are not happy with it.
They claim to be missing the ancient introduction voices, and the introduction to the contestants. For a while, it used to be released online and not on TV. This season, the series will not be releasing an introduction online either, and that is currently making fans even furious.

The 47-second clip of the sneak peek shows the first task the survivors have to undergo to get a reward and immunity. The task looks brutal and showcases how the survivors struggle even though it is just their first task.
Despite the series' efforts in trying to get the viewers hooked, they are clearly disappointed that there is no introduction given. Taking to Twitter, a fan said, "I'm excited, but I'm disappointed that the Season 39 cast won't even have an intro, not even online. The theme song for the series is iconic, but apparently CBS doesn't care anymore. The fans care though, and that matters a lot! Give the cast an intro they deserve!"
Adding to that another fan said, "I love Survivor, but my God it is going downhill. Not even releasing an intro this season? Come on guys."
"Let me ask you a fair good question: if you guys didn't even bother to make an intro for this cast, how I as a fan of the show would care to sit and watch this castaway playing?" wrote a fan. While another added, "The players deserve an intro. Imagine waiting years to be on your favorite show and have the producers not even care enough to make an intro for your season. Sad."
Is this permanent? or will they air the intro sometime soon? We will never know. But let's wait and see when the series premieres.
