Survivor of genital mutilation reveals how she was left with opening "no bigger than head of a matchstick" and unable to have children
Hoda Ali has come out with her story for Channel 4 documentary '100 Vaginas' and is now campaigning to see the procedure banned
A woman who underwent female genital mutilation (FGM) when she was just seven-years-old has come out to reveal her heartbreaking story, describing how the morning of the procedure was made to "feel like Christmas" and how it meant she would never know the feeling of having a child of her own.
According to the Daily Mail, the story of Hoda Ali, a sexual health nurse and activist who was born in the eastern African country of Somalia but now lives in the UK, will be aired as a part of Channel 4 documentary '100 Vaginas,' which will also cover issues such as female masturbation, menstruation, and cancer.
