'Supernatural' Season 15 Episode 10: Sam called out for making 'puppy eyes', but fans still love them
After 15 seasons of using his puppy eyes to melt hearts everywhere from heaven, hell, and purgatory, Sam Winchester has finally been called out for using the tactic to get what he wants and fans can't handle it.
In the 10th episode of this new season, 'The Heroes' Journey', Sam and Dean visit Garth and Bess after her cousin gets attacked by a monster. The brothers appear cursed to be painfully normal this episode and everything that once worked in their favor, doesn't seem to anymore. It also started with Dean's credit card - the golden goose that Charlie had set them up with five years go. It declines. Then, he almost gets run over by a skateboarder. His teeth hurt out of the blue and finally, his car breaks down.
Sam's not having much luck either. He burns lunch, breaks every ceramic plate on the table and ends up burning himself while taking the pasta off the cooktop. Then, he trips. So it is really no surprise when Sam, in an attempt to get information from Bess' cousin who isn't too friendly, fails miserably while making the iconic 'puppy eyes'. "Wow. I mean, wow. With the furrowed brow and the puppy eyes, did you see that? I mean, that never actually works for you, does it?" Brett asks an embarrassed Sam.
"After 15 years, Sam is finally called out for the puppy eyes," tweeted a fan followed by several laughing emojis. Another tweeted, "It only took 15 years to call Sam out on the "Brown hair, puppy eyes" bit... " Dean is every bit as surprised as Sam is but fans defended the two. "Sam and Dean shocked that sams puppy eyes didn’t work.. yeah bitch me too wtf," tweeted one. Another said, "Sam's puppy eyes still work for me."
A third one said, "Now that we’ve seen this episode, every rewatch will make you think about how the boys get away with stuff because they’re the heroes. Case in point, I’m doing my sporadic rewatch and Sam’s puppy eyes worked."
We definitely agree with the fans on this one, Sam's puppy eyes have always worked for us!
