ABC’s ‘Supermarket Sweep’ is a reboot of the '60s classic game show that follows three pairs of contestants where they battle it out using their grocery shopping skills and knowledge of merchandise to win big cash prizes. It is hosted by Leslie Jones

For the December 7 episode of ‘Supermarket Sweep’, we saw mother-daughter duo Cindy and Megan, they call themselves Team Spud because they love potatoes and put it in everything they cook. Next up was Andy and Austin, Andy owns a gym and they called themselves Team Meatball. Next up was Summer and Sky, they described themselves as Latino sisters who love to have pina coladas by the beach and called themselves Team Coconut.

After the introductory round, it was time for the teams to play the mini-sweeps. The first mini-sweep was called soda-slogans, where the contestants were expected to guess a product through its slogan. Summer did very well in that game as she got most of the answers. After that, the teams played a round of food facts. They were asked food trivia questions and were given three possible answers based on which they had to select the right answer. The next mini-sweep was called Round Robin, where the letters of grocery items would appear on the screen, and based on the first letter of each sentence, the contestants had to guess the items.

Once the mini-sweeps were completed, it was time for the teams to play the big sweep. Team Spud got a 10 seconds head start because they managed to garner more points in the previous sweeps. What was witnessed was a frantic round of the game with the team members sweeping all over the floor trying to find all the stuff Leslie had asked for which also caused a collision at one point but thankfully no one was hurt. By the end of the round, Team Spud’s total amount was $2,550, Team Meatball’s total amount stood at $2,553 and Team Coconut was at $2,795. As per the scores, Team Coconut was in the lead and they moved on to the main sweep with the chance to win the grand prize of $100,000.

Team Coconut started off the last round very well, they quickly guessed the first three items that won them $25,000 on top of the money they have already secured. At this point, they had an option to cash out but if they guess another clue correctly they could win $50,000. They played on and won another round. After this, they decided to cash out with the money they had. At one point, one of the sisters screamed, “Now I can go and graduate.”
