'Supergirl' has returned after a long hiatus and with a Lex Luthor-centric episode, no less. The episode, 'Deux Lex Machina', tells the grim tale of Lex's (Jon Cryer) rise to power after Crisis and what exactly, he is up to. Apart from emotionally manipulating his sister, Lena, he has sinister plans of pitting Leviathan against Supergirl. Of course Lex could never be good and it would have been gullible for us to have believed so. His arch-nemesis will always remain the Kryptonians, and he will unleash hell to bring Kara down.

In this episode, we got to see Lex's mother Lillian and the welcome return of Eve Tessmacher, who seems to be blindly devoted to Lex. Fans cheer for her return as well as ponder over how diabolic Lex can get.

"#Supergirl I ship Eve and Lex .. Eve i love her go for it Eve," a fan tweeted while another wrote, "Lex seducing Eve?" "Lex played Eve like a dang fiddle literally!!!!" tweeted a fan.

Other fans hope that Eve realizes Lex is evil. "Oh Eve honey wake up! Lex will dump you the second that you've served your purpose," another fan wrote.

Some fans are rather upset that Lex is always using Eve. "I hate the fact that in any earth possible Lex is always using Eve. She deserves much better!!" wrote a fan.

"Ahh eve x lex omg psychopath babies," wrote another fan.

Some fans don't want to see Lex and Eve. "NOT THIS LEX/EVE STUFF PLS," a fan tweeted.

"I feel like Eve freed from getting manipulated from one evil organization (Leviathan) only to fall for being manipulated by another evil organization (Lex). #Supergirl," wrote another fan.

Other fans say that Eve is saving the episode. "#supergirl eve is saving this episode. If it weren’t for her, it’d just be a boring post-crisis lex backstory. I wish @SupergirlStaff
could see no one wants shitty men shoved down our throats. It’s the women (and Jesse) which makes up their general audience," wrote a fan.

This is proving to be an exciting episode, and it remains to be seen whether Lex will be able to carry out his plans. Tune into 'Supergirl' on Sundays at 9 pm on The CW.
