It's an important milestone for The CW's 'Supergirl'. The popular show has crossed 100 episodes, and no doubt the hundredth had to be a special one.

In the latest episode titled 'It's a Super Life' in Season 5, Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) deals with the one problem that has been plaguing her for a while: Her fractured friendship with Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath.

With the help of  Mxyzptlk, she explores numerous timelines and wonders how history would have turned out had she just told Lena the truth about her secret identity.

As it turns out, it would be even worse than the current scenario. At the end of the episode, Kara decides to overcome her guilt and tell Lena that she is no longer responsible for her bad deeds and is willing to fight her if necessary.

The 100th episode was peppered with some nostalgic moments and numerous familiar faces. We got to see Mon-El (Chris Wood), Kara's once-upon-a-time love interest, who left the show rather abruptly in the third season.

Mon-El was sent into a vortex that turned out to be the future at the end of Season 2. He spent half the third season off-screen while Kara was seething at the loss. And then he returned with a wife.

For the rest of the season, Mon-El was torn between the duty to his wife and his lingering feelings towards Kara. While fans were rather upset with his exit, Mon-El's life that was established in another timeline was more consistent with the comics and placed his character in the Legion of Superheroes.

So you can imagine the short and sweet relief it was to see Mon-El back in action and fighting with Kara by her side, as she struggled with the looming threat of Lena Luthor.

'Supergirl' airs on The CW at 9 pm on Sundays.
