Starring John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, luxury car retailer Genesis Motor unveiled its big Super Bowl commercial and the couple can be seen throwing "old luxury a going away party" in an ostentatious mansion.

Teigen calls out various party guests, right from the "guy who thinks his loud suit's a personality", "woman who claims she hasn't had any plastic surgery" and "lady who goes to Asia once and suddenly thinks she's spiritual" right before the new Genesis GV80 SUV is unveiled.

Originally, the ad also featured a "carriage" and a "helicopter". According to an official statement, the helicopter was edited out after Kobe Bryant's death. "Today we re-cut our Super Bowl ad, to remove a stationary helicopter that was in the opening two seconds of the commercial," a Genesis spokesperson told USA Today in a statement. "The ad had been filmed, produced, and delivered well before Sunday's tragedy, so we took down the spot out of compassion and sensitivity to the families."

No sooner was the ad dropped, social media was buzzing with tweets. Fans were divided, with some showering compliments at the couple and others slamming the clip.

"I had high hopes but the end of that Chrissy Teigen John Legend Genesis car commercial had me feeling awk af," one tweet read and another said, "I don't know who will win the #SuperBowlLIV, but #JohnLegend and #ChrissyTeigen just won the most annoying couple award."

A few threw shade at bringing celebrities for promotions. "Ironic that Genesis would believe two middle-aged virtue signaling "celebrities" throwing stones at others would be perceived as funny, much less new or young!?!?" one tweet read.

Many spoke about how Teigen called her husband the "sexiest man alive!" "@chrissyteigen and @johnlegend killing it as usual, goals forever," one viewer said and another posted, "That was a really cute commercial with #JohnLegend & wife #ChrissyTeigen during the #SuperBowl. She has to say "'Whose the sexiest man alive?' for him to open the car window."

One fan called the singer 'Ringo Starr' saying, "John Legend is the Ringo Starr of World’s Sexiest Men," and another one posted, "John Legend closing the window while his wife chastises him. Awesome move! I did that all the time when I was still married." Nevertheless, the ad has managed to grab many eyeballs with over five million views on YouTube.
