'Sunny' Episode 4 Preview: Suzie Sakamoto digs deeper into Masa's lineage

KYOTO, JAPAN: In Apple TV+'s 'Sunny', Suzie Sakamoto (Rashida Jones) juggles between grief and suspense after her family goes missing in a plane crash.
Her quest to know more about her husband Masa's secret work as a roboticist begins when she is gifted a robot by Masa's colleague Yuki Tanak (Jun Kunimura).
In the premiere episodes, we saw Suzie in utter shock to discover that Masa (Hidetoshi Nishijima) lied to her throughout their marriage of over a decade. In Episode 3, viewers are introduced to startling revelations while keeping them intrigued for further episodes.
What happened in 'Sunny' Episode 3?
In 'Sunny' Episode 3, Suzie struggles to come to terms that her son and husband are probably never coming back.
She isolates herself in a room for two weeks, unable to sleep, refusing food, and avoiding all contact, including phone calls.
Her mother-in-law, Noriko Sakamoto (Judy Ongg) visits her home and asks Sunny to inform Suzie about Masa's funeral that she has arranged at home the next day. She also hands over a sketch that Suzie asked her about in the previous episode.
Upon receiving the sketch, she searches online for the mysterious encircled wolf sign and comes to know about a dark world of robot sex and fights.
Suzie then meets Mixxy (annie the clumsy) who leads her to Takumi, the man who illegally gave her a small code from the dark manual. The hunt leads Suzie to a club named Wanted where she discovers a world of robot fights.
The episode also introduces a mysterious character named Hime (YOU), who is seen orchestrating the torture of Takumi for giving away confidential information to Suzie. She then also appears at the club and at Masa's funeral.
What to expect in 'Sunny' Episode 4?
In the upcoming episode, we hope to discover more about Hime, who appears to be a leading member of a criminal gang.
With the help of Sunny and Mixxy, our protagonist Suzie will dig deeper to know more about Masa's work as a roboticist and what he was up to.

When will 'Sunny' Episode 4 release?
'Sunny' follows a weekly release pattern after its debut with two episodes on July 10, 2024. Accordingly, 'Sunny' Episode 4 will release on July 24, 2024.
With a runtime of 32 minutes, the episode will stream exclusively on Apple TV+.
