LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Sugar' Episode 6 ends with perhaps the series' biggest surprise so far. The series follows protagonist John Sugar (Colin Farell) trying to solve the mysterious disappearance of Olivia Siegel (Sydney Chandler).

In the previous episode, viewers witnessed the unfortunate death of David Siegel, however, this episode starts with the revelation that David Siegel, previously believed to be dead, is still alive in the hospital.

His parents decided to end life support rather than keep him in a vegetative state. The episode then shifts focus to John Sugar, who is searching for Stallings (Eric Lange) at his house.

Sugar arrives at Stallings' house only to realize that he has been set up and gets attacked. He tries to reason with Stallings rather than resorting to violence but ultimately defends himself when Stallings tries to kill him.

But who helped Stallings set Sugar up? What do we know about Sugar's identity? Here we explain the end of 'Sugar' Episode 6

John Sugar gets stabbed in the stomach while fighting Stallings. He calls Melanie (Amy Ryan) for help. Despite bleeding heavily, he doesn't appear to be in pain.

As they reach home, John asks Melanie to call his doctor, Henry (Jason Butler Harner). Henry sends Melanie away to give John some privacy. He then takes out a pouch containing a strange liquid, which he gives John to help him feel better.

Ruby confesses that she has been helping Stallings in Episode 6

John discovers Ruby's (Kirby) call on Stallings' phone and decides to confront her once he regains his composure. Initially, Ruby avoids his questions but eventually provides answers.

Ruby confesses to John that she did assist Stallings, but she didn't expect him to attack John. She explains that the higher-ups at their spy agency don't want John to find Olivia, and she's merely following their orders. Ruby urges John to abandon the case.

John Sugar is possibly an alien in Episode 6

John returns after his conversation with Ruby and steals an injection and some liquid from her place. As soon as he returns, he immediately goes into the bathroom and closes the door.

He injects himself on his neck with something and undergoes a startling transformation, turning completely blue to resemble an alien or an extraterrestrial creature. The episode concludes with this stunning revelation.

Throughout the episodes, there have been hints suggesting that John is not from Earth and has gained much of his knowledge about the world from movies.

He has also mentioned having a secret, but given his history of hallucinations in previous episodes, it's unclear whether his transformation into what appears to be an extraterrestrial being is real or just another hallucination.
