YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO: A former Hollywood stuntwoman who has been a body double for stars like Jessica Alba and Brooke Shields has died in a shootout in Ohio on Wednesday, February 12.

The stuntwoman and her new husband reportedly ambushed her ex-husband and his new wife and were shot dead in the process.

The stuntwoman, 59-year-old Cheryl Sanders and her 56-year-old husband Reed (Robert) Sanders were shot dead by Cheryl's ex-husband Lindsay Duncan outside Duncan's home. The former married couple has reportedly been feuding for a long time over a college trust fund set up for their two daughters.

Cheryl's stunt credits include 'Die Hard 2', 'Back to the Future' and 'Charlie's Angels'. Duncan who is a celebrity nutritionist and has appeared on 'The Dr Oz Show' will not be facing any charges in their deaths as the police say that he acted in self-defense.

Duncan shared that he and his wife Molly had been returning home when they stopped to pick up mail at their gate. A man in a mask and hoodie reportedly stood up and held a gun near his head.

According to a report by Daily News, Duncan said in a news conference on Friday, "I didn’t know what to do. Whatever happened after that was instinct."

While Duncan pulled out his gun, Cheryl too appeared and started to shoot. Duncan ended up fatally shooting the couple in the ensuing shootout.

Molly shared, "The word ambush is exactly what it was. We were caught off-guard. They said nothing and they started shooting at us."

Duncan added, "I will tell you she (Molly) was in the middle of two separate gun battles, of bullets flying by her head, four inches, five inches, six inches by her, not one time but two separate times. And her being alive today, I'll never be able to explain that."

He added, "And it wasn't one-shot or two shots, it seemed like a hundred shots and there were shells everywhere. And that's all I can really say, and I've probably said too much but that's enough."

Surveillance footage seems to confirm Duncan's side of the story and what went down.
