The principal has said that the student involved in pulling the Knife will face criminal charges. This comes as stabbings and other related crimes in schools are gaining an upward trend nationwide and also in the county. The identity of the students involved in the fight has not been released.

“I want to be clear, what happened today is unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” Davidson said in a statement as seen by WSB TV. “Both students will face appropriate disciplinary consequences for fighting, and the student who used the knife will face criminal charges,” the principal said.

He said that he remained staff and students about how blessed they were for having a thriving school culture, “I addressed our students and staff this morning and reminded them of how blessed we are to be in a place that has a thriving school culture where we benefit from our strong sense of community," Davidson said.

He added, "We will continue to work alongside you to help our young people understand the value of maintaining positive relationships and utilizing the wonderful staff that we have here to help them work through any challenges and concerns that they have.” Davidson further wrote, “We love our school and students and will move forward with a focus on the positive.”
