Spielberg fears daughter Mikaela's porn career will ruin future of 6 other kids: 'Isn’t how they were raised'
Steven Spielberg and his wife is reportedly not happy with the fact that their daughter Mikaela is embarking on a journey to become a porn star.
Last week, the 23-year-old revealed that she had been posting solo sex videos on PornHub under a pseudonym and was working to get licensed to become an exotic dancer in Nashville. She added that she was a “sexual creature” who “got really tired of not being able to capitalize on my body.”
At the time Mikaela claimed that her parents were “not upset” and even “intrigued” by her career choice. “As Mikaela said, Steven and Kate are nothing but supportive of her, as they are with all their children," a source told the New York Post.
However, an anonymous friend of her told the same outlet that it was not the case. “Outwardly, Steven and Kate — who are the most evolved parents in the world and love their kids beyond all measure — have always been supportive of Mikaela and try to understand her,” the family friend told Page Six. “Obviously, though, they’re embarrassed by her sudden public admission of entry into the sex worker world.”
Steven, 73, and Kate Capshaw, 66, have seven kids between them. Kate has 43-year-old Jessica Capshaw from her marriage to Robert Capshaw. Steven also shares son, Max, 34, with his previous wife, Amy Irving. Steven and Kate went on to have three children — Sasha, 29, and Destry, 23, and son Sawyer, 27 — after marriage. They also adopted Theo, 31, and Mikaela.
“Nothing can hurt Steven Spielberg’s immaculate reputation, nor Kate’s, but they’re worried about how [Mikaela’s revelation] looks for their other kids, who are trying to be supportive but who are also embarrassed,” said the family friend. “This certainly isn’t how they were raised.”
Mikaela attended a number of movie premieres with her filmmaking dad and joined him on movie sets a number of times in the past.
Mikaela has posted a topless photo on her private Instagram account with the caption: “I just launched my self-produced adult entertainment career. . . I owe not a single person my autonomy or virtue just because of a name.”
