Steve Wynn, worth $3 billion, lists his luxurious 13,500 sq ft Las Vegas mansion Museo for sale at $25 million
American real estate businessman and art collector Stephen Wynn is a man of refined taste. Besides developing a chain of casinos such as Golden Nugget, Mirage, Treasure Island, and Bellagio and taking his business across the international borders to Atlantic City, Boston, Mississippi, and China, Wynn has gained a reputation for his interest luxury homes.
Wynn, who reportedly basks in an estimated net worth of $3 billion dollars, has placed his Las Vegas mansion known as 'Museo' for sale. The house is a true testament to Wynn’s passion for art.
Wynn became involved in the gaming industry following the demise of his father. After taking over the management of his father’s business, he moved to Las Vegas with family, eventually carving a niche for himself as one of the top owners of casinos and the hotel industry. Wynn's business, which majorly contributed to his wealth worth billions, also helped him expand his collections which include rare works by Picasso, Rembrandt’s ‘Portrait of a Man with Arms Akimbo’, and a Johannes Vermeer painting.
Museo gets its name from its intriguing features and spans about 13,500 square feet on 1.5 acres at the edge of the Las Vegas Country Club. The home is adapted to an outdoor lifestyle but has been built around Old European elegance. Wynn bought it for $13 million in 2018. The current price includes the $16 million invested in its redesigning.
To safeguard the valuable art collection in Museo, Wynn has installed a home security system that includes a gas suppression method that gets activated at the first sign of smoke. The chef kitchen features double appliances and a large butler’s pantry that stretches to a second kitchen.
Museo comes with nine baths and six bedrooms, in addition to his-and-her baths, dressing room, and a hair salon. One wing is dedicated to the caretaker’s apartment, a full gym with a wet bar, a caretaker’s office, a laundry room with double Bosch washers and dryers, and a climate-controlled garage.
An inbuilt power plant meets the needs of the home by producing 36 hours’ worth of power. What else does Museo offer? It comes with views of the La Madre Ridge Mountains, the Las Vegas Country Club golf course, an oasis of Italian Cypress trees, palms, and extensive gardens.
