Spoilers for 'Station 19' Season 3 Episode 11 'No Days Off'

Death changes you. At 'Station 19', all the firefighters are fighting with their feelings after Rigo Vasquez's (Rigo Sanchez) death. To clear her head, Maya Bishop (Danielle Savre) heads out on a vacation with her girlfriend, Carina DeLuca (Stefania Spampinato) and their sizzling chemistry will blow your mind.

Meanwhile, Andy Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz) and Robert Sullivan (Boris Kodjoe) decide to take their relationship to the next stage and go to meet Pruitt Herrera (Miguel Sandoval). A little hesitant, he had grumbled "okay" but didn't really mean it. While Andy and her dad, Pruitt, got into the same old argument again, Sullivan came back to the table with a big twist after he saw the head chef threaten his staff with ICE.

Stepping in to sort things, Sullivan told the head chef that a report would be filed against him for the fire hazard. However, Pruitt defended ICE agents and said instead of coming here "illegally," there are ways to become an American citizen. He even traced it back to the World War II era and that's when Sullivan brought up his Nazi connection.

He told them that his grandfather was a Nazi and a part of the secret police too. He was one of those people who would drag the commoners out of their homes and send them to concentration camps. Filled with hatred for him, Sullivan lived with his grandfather for another six years but never spoke to him. He soon drew a parallel with how things were turning out at the detention centers and it was similar to the old days. Even with his subtle expressions, Kodjoe impresses with his convincing performance and strikes the right chord with his shocking tale.

There's another gay love triangle in the show and that will definitely keep you hooked. Travis Montgomery (Jay Hayden) has lunch with Emmett Dixon (Lachlan Buchanan) and his longtime girlfriend, Alicia. When Alicia confessed her feelings for Emmett and how she wanted to get married, Montgomery told her he lost his husband because of the job and that she needs to prepare herself for her boyfriend's loss, if and when it happens.

By the end of the episode, Sullivan makes a sly remark to Andy on how it would be great if her dad could see their marriage before the cancer threat proves to be fatal. Isn't that a clever way of a marriage proposal? So, does that mean we will get to see Andy and Sullivan walking down the aisle soon? Well, hopefully, Pruitt won't create any more hassles in the happy ending for the couple.

And in other news, Travis tells Emmett he should be sorry to the "lovely girl he's destroying." And as the firefighters responded to a five-alarm call, Maya has a mild panic attack as she was far away and Carina helped her get by.

Directed by Tom Verica and written by Cinque Henderson, the episode stumbles with a set of intense emotions and rollercoaster rides for one too many characters. At this stage, it is difficult to decipher where the show will go. But what's great is how the creators seem to be adding the right mix of intrigue and suspense to keep the audience glued to their screens.
