'Star Trek: Picard': With Season 1 coming to a close, here are all the questions we have in mind for Season 2

After a lot of highs and lows, 'Star Trek: Picard' Season 1 drew to a close on March 26, with much fanfare. After a worrying cliffhanger in the previous episode, Picard manages to bring Soji back from the brink of bloodlust.

There is an epic showdown with the Romulans, a much-needed conversation between Picard and Data (Brent Spiner) in a simulation, and the promise of a new beginning.

We almost lose Picard, due to his brain abnormality — but hey, this is 'Picard' and 'Star Trek' and there's nothing that technology and science can't fix. And so, Picard is a synth now. To be fair, we saw that coming.

Soji (Isa Briones), who traveled to hell and back just to see her home planet, decides to abandon the idea and go with Picard and the La Sirena crew. She says that she is a wanderer.

Soji has had quite a painful arc in this season, as she had to learn in the most unpleasant way possible that she was a synth and that her memories of childhood had been falsely implanted.

Apart from that, she suffered a heartbreak when she realized that her Romulan boyfriend Narek (Harry Treadaway) had been manipulating her and was about to kill her. Narek does have a change of heart by the end of the season, but Soji is in no mood to bury the hatchet.

Nevertheless, the finale ends with the whole La Sirena crew waiting for Picard to say "Engage". There are a whole lot of people present on that ship, including Raffi Musiker (Michelle Hurd), Seven Of Nine (Jeri Ryan), Rios, Dr Agnes Jurati (Allison Pills) and Elnor.

Now that Season 2 is on the cards, here are some questions we have in mind.

Where is Narek? Will the Zhat Vhash stop hunting synths?

Narek did a 180 degree and decided to help out the La Sirena crew.... and then vanished from sight. Obviously, this isn't the last we have seen of him, as he and Soji still have some issues to sort out. However, the more pressing question is, what's happening with the Zhat Vhash? Synth life is not banned anymore, true. But Zhat Vhash has shown it is capable of murder and more. Will they return in the next season?

Will we get to know more about Raffi?

We know tantalizing clues about Raffi Musiker's life. For one, her career ended when Picard left Starfleet. And, she has a son, who wants nothing to do with her. Raffi Musiker is a tough character and hasn't been given adequate screen time. So let's hope, that in Season 2, we learn more about her. Fans also seem to think that there is something going on between her and Seven Of Nine. That should make an interesting watch.

How will life change for Picard as a synthetic being?

Picard is now a synth, just like his late best friend Data (Brent Spiner). So will life be any different for the gracious and venerated Captain? Of course, it will be. You can expect a lot of drama in this regard, for the next season.

Disengage, for now.
