After taking it slow and perhaps going around in circles, the latest episode of 'Star Trek: Picard' was a  rollercoaster. Suspense? Check. Mystery? Check. Action? Check. Emotion? Hell yeah.

It was laced with much nostalgia from 'Star Trek: The Next Generation', as Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) visits the Borg Cube and remembers those haunting days when he had been assimilated. Soji discovers that she is an android, which leads to a heartbreaking moment between her and Narek, as he is compelled to betray her. Apart from this, there was the heartwarming reunion between Picard and Hugh. All in all, the episode was quite a nerve-wracking one, and fans have a lot to say about it.

A fan tweeted, "#picard #startrekpicard HUGH WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE PICARD AGAIN IM GOING TO COMBUST !!!!!!!!!"

"Wow. #StarTrekPicard Hugh! That’s it, that’s the tweet," tweeted another excited fan.

Some fans hailed this as a "superb" episode. "OMG YES @JonathanDelArcoYES, YES, YES, YAAAAAAAAASSSSS! Hello Hugh!!! So freaking epic!!! I’m just so happy and so full of emotion right now! Superb!!!" wrote a fan.

In the next episode, Jonathan Frakes as William Riker, will make his appearance. "Last week was @JeriLRyanawesomeness, this week is @JonathanDelArcofabulousness, and now you are telling me next week is @jonathansfrakesand @Marina_Sirtis?!?! My head just exploded!! @SirPatStew. We are not worthy!!! Loving this show!!" wrote an excited fan.

"I couldn't... I just couldn't y'all. There was too much intensity and emotion in the last few moments of this episode, and I was trying my best not to scream at my TV in hopes of not waking anyone in the house up. Another awesome episode! Thank you," one fan tweeted.

Some fans were irritated that Raffi Musiker (Michelle Hurd) did not have much of a role in this episode, apart from looking rather morose and drinking. "#StarTrekPicard dont why jl raffi weak ass charactor and piss poor acting sorry actressing will fix this toxic white man problem,' a fan wrote.

The episode also reignited fans' interest in Soji (Isa Briones) story. "A few quibbles aside, this week’s #StarTrekPicard recaptured my interest in Soji’s story. Lots to like this week," tweeted a fan.

'Star Trek: Picard' airs on CBS-All Access, Thursdays at 12:01 am.
